R. v. T. G.
The client was charged with importing cocaine into Canada in his luggage. It was alleged that he had hidden it in the luggage when he returned to Canada from abroad. However, the client had no knowledge about the presence of drugs in his luggage, and with the assistance of Mr. Harpreet Saini, he was able to convince the jury of his innocence.
- The client was found not guilty by the jury and acquitted of all charges.
R. v. L. W.
The client was charged with a sexual assault that allegedly took place on New Year’s Eve. The matter was set for a jury trial but on hearing Mr. Harpreet Saini’s cross-examination of the complainant, the Crown offered a peace bond.
- The Crown withdrew the charges before the case was put to the jury.
R. v. J. T.
The client was charged with attempted murder with a co-accused. The complainant alleged that both had a fight with the victim in a convenience store and later on the same day of the fight, they visited the victim’s house where the co-accused shot at him several times under the direction of the main accused. Mr. Harpreet Saini convinced the Court that there was no evidence of the involvement of his client in the shooting.
- The attempted murder charge was dismissed without even going to trial.
